Scrapbooking with the Nepals

We had the Nepals and the Brocketts over the other week and had lots of fun scrapbooking, making Nepali tea, eating desserts, and talking… =)

Jyoti was making a book on Nepal.

This room is so handy. We call it the sewing room, but it includes, scrapbooking, painting, reading, and foosball (so the boys would stay happy!).

While us girls worked upstairs, the men had a good time talking downstairs.

We asked Rajendra if he would show us how to make tea. He had the greatest fun telling us not to measure anything, but just throw it in.

How many cardamoms are in a handful?

Mrs. Brockett wanted me to take a picture so we would know for next time. You wouldn’t call that measuring would you?

Everybody watched carefully…

Then Rajendra watched as Jyoti added the spices, laughing as he told her “More, more.”

When it came to putting the sugar in, Rajendra took it and dumped it in! =)

Ya’ll come! It’s time for dessert.

(Rajendra’s own words for the picture.)

“Every last crumb!”

The kids loved playing with the binoculars……

while Emmet loved riding around in his new car (an upside-down stool).

Notice who else enjoys looking through the binoculars! =D

We had a wonderful time and are so thankful to know the Nepals!

P.S. In case you are wondering, there was approximately 25 cardamoms in that handful. =)

Hi Abby, This is Tennessee Granddaddy. Our common friend, Celia, is over to our home for a visit, and together we enjoyed viewing your website.

I'm just home from a heart attack, and had another stent placed in my heart on Saturday. Celia brought me flowers and fruit. She is a wonderful person.

Hope all is going great for you and your family.
