I want my life to be a light for those around me,
I want my life to be a roadmap that points to home,
I want my life to be a beacon on life's raging sea
I want the world to see Jesus when they look at me.
When the world looks at me do they see Jesus?
When the world looks at me what do they see?
Do they see hope, do they see love, do they see charity?
When the world looks at me what do they see?
When I spoke, did my words contain your wisdom, Lord?
And when I prayed, did my prayers contain your love?
And did my life reflect the glory of your spirit, Lord?
And have I really showed the ones around me they were loved?
When the world looks at me do they see Jesus?
When the world looks at me what do they see?
Do they see hope, do they see love, will they see charity?
When the world looks at you what will they see?

Celebrating Winter!!
The past couple of days have been quite cold - in the 20's and lower and we have been getting some snow. We have more snow than in the next couple of pictures, but it gives you a glimpse of what it is like.
Our winter wonderland.

Then if you look over at the neighbors, you can see how they are celebrating winter this morning.

Some of them didn't have their seatbelts on!

The horses are not quite sure what to think of this interesting game.
"Should we join them or stay at a distance?"

Making Apple Cider...
A couple Saturdays ago, we had an apple cider pressing day - with homemade donuts! =)
We had a couple families come and join us which made for a fun day!

In the morning, Jonathan and I washed the apples thoroughly which helps them taste better.
We have an old hand cider press that we use, but before that, we put the apples through a branch/leaf chipper which makes it into almost mush. That way, you can get more juice out of it.
Here the kids were helping Mike toss the apples in the chipper.

It was fascinating for them.
"This, goes....

...here!"

The boys had fun walking around and around screwing down the press and watching the juice come out.

Delicious!

When the press was getting too hard, the dads stepped in to give a hand.

That's the way to go!

Push Caleb!!

Meanwhile, the girls were helping Becky inside to make donuts. They were having lots of fun smushing the dough, rolling it out, cutting it out, and taking turns.
Did you know you can get way more donuts out of the dough if you overlap them?

Joshua had to get in on it too!

Here is Micah testing a fresh donut.
"Now you see it...."

"Now you don't!"

Graduation Party Oct. 4th
On October 4th, Jonathan and I had our graduation party. Jonathan graduated last year, but we were unable to have the party so he joined me in mine. =)
Peter wants to lend a hand, too! =)
The greenhouse worked wonderfully and we actually used the heaters in the evening. The sun didn't come out until it started to set and then it was so pretty. It was a wonderful day.
Thank you very much for taking a look at our day. We pray that the LORD would use us and find us willing servants also that we may learn to be faithful in the little things that prepare us to be faithful in the big things. We would appreciate your prayers as we continue to follow our Saviour.
We had 100 people total that evening and we all enjoyed the fellowship of all our friends.

While we were busy getting the greenhouse and everything ready for the party, guess what the Brocketts were doing...?
Want a closer look, Inspector Hillary?
Then this is what you saw coming up our driveway...
Daddy, the wonderful chef, tasting the pig.
Peter wants to lend a hand, too! =)
"Fall in and dish up!"
Teresa and Anna enjoying their supper.
A couple "corny" characters!! I love you Tim and Jess!! =)
Amanda Buck. I'll let the pictures speak. =)
A yummy looking cherry pie that Jessica made that I didn't get to eat. =(
