“Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits.” Psalms 103:1,2
“I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. My meditation of Him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD.” Psalms 104:33, 34
“O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon His name: make known His deeds among the people. Sing unto Him, sing psalms unto Him: talk ye of all His wondrous works. Glory ye in His holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD. Seek the LORD, and His strength: seek His face evermore. Remember His marvelous works that He hath done; His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth.” Psalms 104:1-5
Peter called us about 10:45, Sunday morning telling us that their house was on fire. Here’s a fairly “accurate” news report about the fire, once they corrected that it was Peter’s son he saved and not a daughter. =)

We didn’t get any pictures of the actual fire, but here are some afterwards and a couple of video clips taken about 2pm.
The upstairs had the worst damage from the fire and the downstairs was mostly water and smoke damage.
Ethan (13 months old) was upstairs taking a nap when Peter and Amy smelled smoke. Peter dashed upstairs making his way through the smoke to the boys bedroom feeling for Ethan in the crib. Ethan was taken to the hospital and his carbon monoxide count was 4.7 … very high. A couple hours on oxygen helped him recover fine.
They are staying at the Liptak’s (Amy’s parents) house currently. Then they will stay at a friend’s house who will be gone for a couple weeks on vacation. After that, they are unsure of where the Lord will lead them.
People have been so helpful in bringing bags and bags of clothes for them and cleaning supplies. Most of their kitchen was untouched except by water and smoke. They will need living room, dining room, and bed room furniture. There is a facebook page Amy’s family has put together for them here. Right now, a couple of Pack-‘n-Play’s would be very useful!

In the fear of the Lord is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge. Psalm 14:26
Praise the Lord for His Continual Goodness, He is an awesome God and Powerfully protecting Father!
Thanks for the post. I had not seen many pictures before that and they didn't do the fire justice. That looked like a fierce sweeping and devouring fire, how scarry!
We never know what a day may bring forth and how our lives can be changed in a flash.
Thank you Lord for sparing Ethans life, You are Good!
Oh my...what a merciful God to have spared this family's life!!! You can replace houses but you cannot replace lives. Praising God with you all and praying for God's leading in the days, weeks and months to come.
