Jonathan was quite happy to get this 9-point buck opening morning of shotgun season. He had seen this buck during bow season, but it never came close enough. He was sure glad to have a shotgun in his hands when it came around that morning!
This was Ben's first year of hunting and he was very excited! He wasn't able to shoot any, but just the thrill of watching the deer was worth it. Jerky and canned venison are being much enjoyed by the rest of us. =)

Looks like you'll get lots of good eats from that one.
We haven't been deer hunting this year, yet, but Ben finally got the boar hog that's been making a mess of the hay field. It was about 300 lbs.. Now maybe the ride through the field will be a little smoother :).
Enjoy the sleigh rides in the snow and we'll just keep on making hay. It was 87 here on Tuesday.
