Farm work

I decided I'd better do an update since I have a little time because it's raining out. We have been so busy lately! This morning I raked about 5 acres of hay that we were hoping to get off the field before it rained. Mike decided to bale while he could so Ben and I needed to unload 2-3 wagons. Praise the Lord for neighbors like the Brocketts who were willing to come over and give us a hand at a moments notice! We were able to get the wagons done, but a part on the baler broke and then it began to rain. Good timing.

We have been very busy doing hay, picking strawberries, weeding our big gardens and other things so I haven't been able to take many pictures of our activities. Here are some from a few weeks ago.

Jonathan is disking up the field where we planted 550 lbs of seed potatoes and some rows of sweet corn. Ben is watering our new 1000 strawberry plants since then it was very dry.

Randy loves to ride on wagons with his nose up smelling the wind and his tail waving like a flag. =)

Our strawberry patch that now has no white but lots of red! Sweet, juicy red berries (no pictures for fear you might start feeling hungry).

Done!

Going home.

Well, we have been taking other pictures that are new... =)

We just can't help but take pictures!

Unfortunately, most of our family have been working through colds so only Grandma and Grandpa have been able to go see little Boaz. But as you can see, they enjoy it very much!

Beware, Boaz! We're coming soon! =)

I wish I was there! Thanks for the pictures Abby. The setting sun at end of long day, fields done hay in is something I so miss on our tiny 11 acres! Our amish neighbors were out baling with the team the other eve. and we were so tempted to go help them- even if they didn't need it!.:)You haven't seem Boaz YET?? Aww he is so sweet I want to hug him! I love that first pic where Pete has him on his shoulder. ~Amy

Wonderful pictures of the farm!! Wow, the strawberry plants look really good. We had such a drought this year that it really took a toll on the strawberry and blueberry plants here.

Boaz is a precious, precious baby. We sure enjoy the pictures.

Love to all,
The Pollocks

Also thanks for sharing the tractor with me, we enjoy doing work with you guys, when it's done with friends it makes time pass by faster.
Keep up the good work,
Hillary
