I love the spring flowers that burst out bright colors in the brown, muddy spring.

These violets were blooming in the morning sun in the hedgerow.

The cherry and apple blossums were popping out all over!

It has been fun to watch all the birds coming back and watching them prepare their nests, then trying to discover them. There is a robin that always builds her nest in our tool shed. Often it is on top of a hoe or behind a shovel and using the shovel as part of its wall. We love to throw out the dog hair in the fields for the birds to use in their nests.
There has been another nest that we have helped line lately...

for Peter and Amy's baby!!! =D
On May 2nd, we had a family baby shower here at the farm. It was fun having 60 people here and crowding in the living room, kitchen, up the stairs to watch Peter and Amy open gifts.

There were only a little over 30 people inside as all the kids were outside playing tag, prisoner's base and other fun games.

It was so cute to see all the little....tiny outfits for the baby!
These little pajamas have dump trucks all over it and it says, "Scoup me up!"
Peter Rabbit =)
Whoever's gift Peter and Amy were opening, that family had to share words of wisdom for the new parents. If you have any, please leave a comment!
This is a winter hat I made with tons of laughs while putting it together! =)

Now can you guess who this is?

We had such a blast decorating for the party. It was the first baby shower for our family. Becky had the idea to put up Peter and Amy's baby pictures. So, as you walked into the kitchen, on the cupboard shelves you would see these posters...

Then we put up a 4D picture of the baby with this poem....
For all the kind things that you smile and say.
Your gifts are a precious reminder of love,
Like the generous care of my Father above.
My Mommy and Daddy are glad that you care,
And thanks for the parenting wisdom you share.
They want to raise me like Scriptures show,
In stature and knowledge and obedience grow.
Come back and see me, it won't be too long,
I'll show you my smile and I'll sing you a song.
Here is Amy at 8 months.

I am really enjoying spring too! The other morning I woke up when it was still dark and heard the birds cheerily singing. What a welcome sound! We were glad to be a part of the baby shower and look forward to meeting the baby and seeing those pictures you are going to post! :)
God Bless!

I like that post, Abby! Very fun. Peter and Amy look so happy! I'm looking forward to seeing lots of pictures of their baby.
Aw what fun!! You must be as excited about baby's arrival as Peter and Amy! Such cute tiny outfits! It never ceases to amaze me what a miricle these tiny little ones are. We're in Idaho for a wedding and Lisa is here with Mary. We're loving the chance to cuddle the lil munchkin again!:)
